Mr Snowflake Snowman Christmas Card

It’s time for another challenge over at Crafty Gals Corner Challenges! The theme for this challenge is Christmas in July. This challenge has 3 Sponsors, each with fabulous prizes!

Here is my DT Design for this exciting challenge, using the Mr Snowflake Digi Stamp by Sparkle and Sprinkle!:

I colored white card stock with Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass Distress Ink:

I used a circles pattern Darice Embossing Folder to make the illusion of falling snow:

I used a square cutting die to make the faux windows

I attached the squares to the card to make a window pattern:

I used a silver gel pen over some of the patterned dots:

I colored Mr Snowflake Digi Stamp with Spectrum Noir Markers and used embroidery thread to hang the bells:

  • Hi Mimi, what a lot of wonderful detail you put into the background behind the windows! That really does create a great backdrop for your Mr. Snowflake image. Love his pipe! Great idea adding those hanging bells to echo the bells on his hat. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.

  • Wow a lot of thought and work went into this card! I love the faux window panes and the way you embossed and then covered over some of the snowflakes with silver ink, it’s really quite effective giving the illusion of falling snow. The background is beautifully coloured and so is your Mr. Snowman…..just right amount. The little bells on the string are also a nice touch.
